One of the stars of hit panel show Mock The Week is returning to Teesdale this summer.
Award-winning comedian Jo Caulfield is on her way to The Witham in Barnard Castle on Saturday 19 July, as she returns to the region with her brand-new show, A Celebration of Anger.
Jo last performed in Barnard Castle in 2012, also for Funny Way To Be Comedy Club.
Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be, said: “Jo was a massive hit with our audience in 2012. On that visit she had the audience in hysterics talking about various things she’d observed in Barnard Castle. She is one of the most quick-witted comics on the comedy circuit and, of course, is a regular on TV and radio. We were delighted when she agreed to perform her latest tour show in Barnard Castle.”
Best-known for her legendary one-woman shows, Caulfield is an observational comedian who looks at all aspects of human life.
For years Jo has was one of the most highly sought after TV warm-up acts for Room 101, Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps amongst many others.
She was also the chief writer for the BAFTA-winning So Graham Norton and has written for Joan Rivers, Marcus Brigstocke and Ant & Dec.
Now Caulfield is more recognisable in front of the camera on the likes of Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You and I Love The 19 something or others on Channel 4.
On radio she is equally ubiquitous, appearing on The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth and Clive Anderson's Chat Room, as well as her own shows It’s That Jo Caulfield Again, Jo Caulfield Won’t Shut Up, and Laughing In All the Right Places for BBC Scotland.
Tickets are £8. The show starts at 8pm.
