Funny Way To Be Comedy Club welcomes Justin Moorhouse and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees Gein's Family Giftshop to Barnard Castle on 27 June. The highly select Sunday Times 'Best of what's on this week' describing it as, "A high energy, thoroughly irascible double bill."
One of the stars of Peter Kay's sitcom Phoenix Nights is to perform in Teesdale later this month.
Acclaimed stand-up and 'Young Kenny' actor Justin Moorhouse will perform at The Witham in Barnard Castle on Saturday 27 June as part of Funny Way To Be Comedy Club.
Justin, who was recently seen in the Phoenix Nights Live shows in Manchester, will be previewing his new stand-up show Destiny Calling ahead of an extensive national tour in the autumn.
He is joined by brooding comedy sketch group Gein's Family Giftshop as part of a special double-header show in the market town.
The fast paced and irreverent Gein's have been honing their skills on the North West stand-up comedy circuit, and as such have an enviable gag rate and a stage presence that more established sketch groups can only dream of.
Their unique brand of gag heavy writing and gleeful live performances have given the group a core of loyal followers.
And an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination last year brought them to the attention of League of Gentlemen star Reece Shearsmith, who rewarded their comedy talents with an appearance in the new series of his BBC Two show, Inside No. 9.
Gein's will be previewing their much-anticipated follow-up show, Volume 2.
Peter Dixon added: "Justin Moorhouse sold out his show with us last year so we were thrilled when he asked to come back again in 2015 during a very high profile year for him.
"We always like to vary our programming so for the hotly tipped Gein's Family Giftshop to form part of the preview double-header night will make it a very special evening."
Tickets for the show are on sale now from funnywaytobe.com.
